In the immediate vicinity of the cradle of croatian alpinism - the Petehovac Mountaineering Center - which affords a stunning view of the city of Delnice, just below Štimac’s Peak (Štimčev vrh, 1024 m) a mountain lodge rests. It’s name: Chalet MINT.
Hidden amid pines, firs and beeches interspersed over 5 000 m 2 of forest land, our two-story alpine house contains a spacious living room and dining room area, a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a large barbecue with a wooden gazebo for outdoor dining
TOUCH THE QUIET
Wishing to escape the all too tiring hustle and bustle of city life, we searched for refuge in the secluded solitude of Gorski Kotar. And our soon-to-be new home took us in. No sooner had we started to climb the winding road up to Štimac’s Peak than we fell in love
with the enchanting Petehovac. But what really stole our hearts was the house, magical in all seasons - shrouded in the summer cool, the autumn leaves, the winter snowflakes or the sweet spring scent of beeches. Ah yes, and the beeches… like twin sisters who have been guarding the driveway for decades, these deciduous attendants form a natural doorway to our house, a safe haven where one can breathe easily again - air as fresh as the mountain mint. They will welcome you into our grove upon your arrival.

Gorski Kotar boasts a wide selection of recreational activities throughout the year:
In the summertime - walking, hiking with professional guides (on Golubinjak, Kamenjak or Risnjak, for example), bicycling, kayaking, rafting, fishing, swimming in local rivers and lakes, and the Adriatic sea isn’t too far off either!
In the wintertime - skiing and sledding on Petehovac, ice skating in Delnice, nordic skiing, exploring local snowy routes and enjoying the wonders of winter.
WHAT TO VISIT?
Chalet Mint is situated in the heart of Gorski Kotar, at the crossroads of Croatia’s nature reserves and urban areas:
- RISNJAK National Park, home to the Kupa river source
- Lokvarka, Hajdova Hiža, Muževa Hiža and other caves
- The town of DELNICE, home of Croatia’s first ski jumping hill, a wonderful open-air ice rink and a number of routes for nordic walking.
- The town of VRBOVSKO and the KAMAČNIK canyon, with its 3,2-kilometers long promenade. The promenade’s starting point is at the confluence of the KAMAČNIK stream and the DOBRA river.
- The town of LOKVE and the LOKVARKA stream, the LOKVARSKO lake, the LOKVARKA cave - Croatia’s longest cave. There’s also a riveting frog museum!
- The town of MRKOPALJ, nestled among mountains - Bjelolasica (1534 m), Bitoraj (1386 m), White and Samarian Rocks (strictly protected natural reserve), Čelimbaša (1085 m) and Lisina (1030 mnm).
- The village of RAVNA GORA and the medieval Stara Sušica castle - a true historical jewel of Gorski Kotar.
- The town of FUŽINE, surrounded by three lakes, the VRELO cave and the cowboy village of Roswell (a film set where the reboot of the western Winnetou was filmed).

PRICE LIST AND CONDITIONS
Minimum stay: 2 nights
The rate for renting the lodge during Christmas holiday season and on New Year’s Eve is
disclosed upon request.
Children under the age of two may stay free of charge.
PRICE PER NIGHT:
for 2 people = 230 €
for 3 people = 250 €
for 4 people = 270 €
for 5 people = 290 €
for 6 people = 310 €
for 7 people = 330 €
for 8 people = 350 €
The price rate for 2023 allows for the accommodation of at most 8 people.

If requested in advance, a spare toddler bed (with a mattress) will be available free of
charge.
Payment and cancellation policy:
The guest is required to pay an advancement of 30 % of the total price of rental via bank
transfer. In case of rental during the Christmas holiday season or New Year’s Eve, the
advancement is 100 % of the total price.
The advancement will be refunded to the guest only if the cancellation of the reservation is
made at the latest 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Otherwise, the advancement is
nonrefundable.
Pets:
Pets are allowed to stay at a price of 10€ per night and with prior notice.
Deposit:
The guest is required to put down a deposit of €200.
The deposit is made via bank transfer or with cash and refunded within 24 hours of the guest’s departure in case there haven’t been any damages made to the property.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in the lodge.

Chalet MINT
Proveli smo 5 prekrasnih dana u kući Chalet Mint te doživjeli sunce, kišu, olujno jugo te na kraju snijeg. Po dolasku smo imali predivno rođendansko iznenađenje koje su nam priredili domaćini. Zdravko i Borka zaslužuju svaku pohvalu za svoju srdačnost i toplinu kojom zrače. Nije trebalo ni par minuta da dobijemo osjećaj da smo kao kod kuće. Kuća je spoj modernog i rustikalnog te odiše toplinom kojoj pridonosi i šumski TV odnosno kamin :) Uživali smo u kuhanju, ispijanju vina uz kamin te chillanju u spa zoni. Kuća u koju ćemo se zasigurno vratiti!

Proveli smo 3 prekrasna dana u ovoj idiličnoj kući! Kuća posjeduje sve uvijete za savršen boravak, ugodna, opuštajuća i topla atmosfera, iznimno srdačni i simpatični domaćini! Uredno i čisto, te blizu planinarskog doma i raznih šumskih staza idealnih za lagane šetnje. Jedva čekamo doći opet!

Prekrasana priroda, divni borovi i potpuna opremljenost kuče koja zrači toplinom i divnom energijom definitvno je razlog zbog kojeg čemo se sigurno vratiti nazad. Omjer cijene i kvalitete je i više nego zadovoljavajuč. Sve pohvale za domačina i gospodina Zdravka koji nas je srdačno primio i ugostio. Velika preporuka!

Bili smo na Teambulding-u te možemo reći same pohvale od smještaja, lokacije, domaćina te gospodina Zdravka koji nas je dočekao i pobrinuo se da nam ništa ne nedostaje i pri odlasku nas je pozdravio i mahao. Žao nam je što nismo imali priliku isprobati saunu koja je novootvorena dan nakon našeg odlaska, no bit će nadamo se prilika za novim uživanjama u ovoj šumskoj idili. :)

Predivna kuća koja svojim toplim uređenjem jednostavno poziva na odmor! Ima sve potrebno za obitelj s djecom (kuhinja je super opremljena), zaista nam ničeg nije nedostajalo.. Čistoća je na iznimnoj razini, domaćin jako ljubazan i spreman pomoći u svakom trenutku. Sadržaji za djecu (vanjski i unutarnji) su odlični! Osobno mi je najljepše bilo nakon cijelog dana provedenog u aktivnostima opustiti se u jacuzziju i sauni! Veselimo se povratku u Chalet Mint!

Chalet MINT
Chalet Mint is beautiful and spacious accommodation full of wonderful details, equipped with anything you may need on your vacation (including details such as books, toys for kids, equipment for your dog, etc...). Chalet is placed in secluded quiet location and yet just 2 minutes walk from Petehovac mountain center, city of Delnice is less then 10 min drive. Needless to say that house was spotless clean. Stay during the snowy winter period is just exceptional experience.
Also to mention that hosts are very welcoming, responsive and at disposal for anything you may need.
I cannot recommend Chalet Mint enough and we are definitely coming back.

Kuća je prekrasna, predivno uređena i opremljena svime što vam treba a ako dolazite s malom djecom ili psima i za njih ima sve potrebno. Lokacija je odlična, mi smo bili po snijegu ali vjerujem da je u proljeće isto tako predivno. Planinarski centar Petehovac je na par metara tako da po zimi možete sanjkati blizu kuće. Domaćin je izuzetno susretljiv, ljubazan i pripremio je sve za naš dolazak. Dočekala nas je topla kuća, zdravica i naresci. Sve pohvale :)
